What is "Smart Cash"? "Smart Cash" a fundraising entity that uses a Game Show format to help schools, churches and other organizations raise money. It looks like TV's "Jeopardy", but the questions are a lot easier! We quiz students with questions appropriate to their grade level, in a friendly, fun, low-pressure competition. The students are sponsored by their parents, family, and friends for an opportunity to compete in the game. In this way, they raise money What questions are used in competition? We at "Smart Cash" want to be sure to ask grade-appropriate questions. Therefore, the teachers are asked to provide us with questions pertaining to each grade level's curriculum. This, of course, eases the pressure on the students, since they're being quizzed on material they've recently been studying. Who plays the game? Each organization is invited to determine the contestants. Schools sometimes invite several of the most-sponsored students to compete. However, most schools prefer all students to participate in the game show. What if I do not want my child to participate? We leave that to the discretion of the parents. Can I come watch the event? "Smart Cash" welcomes an audience as long as protocol for normal visitation on school property is maintained. Please check with the school for confirmation.
What is the incentive for the students to collect sponsorships? Each student will have the opportunity to win prizes at certain sponsorship levels. The most-sponsored student wins a $100.00 U.S. Savings Bond as well as other prizes! The class that collects the most money will win a Pizza Party and the teacher will receive a Gift Card to a local office supply store. |

No over-priced merchandise to stock, sort, sell and deliver! Students answer questions from grade-appropriate school curriculum. We promote education and school spirit, not tooth decay! Sponsorship sheets can be targeted for a school's "general fund" or specifically designed so that each student raises money for his/her particular interest. (i.e. marching band, music department, athletic department, etc..) |
